Milk is a design led practice combining architecture, structural engineering and interior design services. We enjoy and use our Shoreditch location to immerse ourselves in the vibrant multi-national community that flourishes here and relish the change that those varying perspectives bring.
The projects within milks workload usually cover a broad cost range from £50k to £5m and which well represents our enjoyment of design at every level. The smallest brief often presents the largest challenge, or the most economic brief will require the most design discipline.
Milk is a multi-disciplinary practice which over the last 17 years has been developing a reputation for sensitive and elegant design. Milk currently comprises of 2 Directors, 2 Associates, 1 Senior Engineer, 2 Project Engineers, 1 Engineering Assistant, 2 Architectural Assistants and 1 Administrator. The workload of Milk ranges from projects of £50k to £45m which well represents our enjoyment of structural engineering at every level.

Milk has always worked across a wide range of design fields; public spaces, work places and private residences. The work is united by construction clarity, an eye for detail and elegant solutions.
Milk has worked on projects as far afield as Australia and China but our most extensive experience remains within London, This experience and knowledge of London’s building stock are at the heart of our practice so our team is particularly skilled when refurbishing and adapting existing or heritage buildings or working on a constrained complex site.
The founders’ construction experience and design discipline are key to delivering the clients deign brief within their limits of budget, buildability and programme. We bring design clarity to every scale of the design right down to the smallest detail and we understand and account for the efficient number of design iterations required to do this.
Over milk’s near 20 year lifespan our founders have also developed strong working relationships with a wide variety of construction professionals. This has enabled milk to create an enviable network of suppliers, contractors and designers that contribute to our projects. The teams’ long term understanding of those relationships ensures that milk offers a consistent and reliable service tour clients which is open and accountable at all stages.
