Milk Structures were part of a multidisciplinary team lead by Hyphen and working directly with Nike internal design team on Nike Paris, House of Innovation 002.
Located on the historic Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris and comprises over four floors and some 2,400 square meters (nearly 26,000 square feet), Nike has thoughtfully curated and designed a modern retail destination that reflects the brand's innovation and Paris’ history.
Milk Structures worked closely with the Nike design team and the landlord’s team over a period of 3 years overcome many challenges and deliver this stunning project. The final project is testimony to a fantastic team effort.
The numerous structural interventions include:
the creation of a 4 storey atrium throughout the existing building, fabricated steel triple stringer staircases with expressed pin connections, changing direction as they fly through the atrium against a back drop of full height digital display wall.
a fabricated steel triple stringer staircase with cantilever tread plates & open risers from ground to first floor level.
fabricated steel stringers with 30mm thick ultra high performance pre-cast concrete tread & risers.
bespoke support systems for a series of digital installation within the building and on the façade.
fabricated steel mobile trusses to accommodate suspended interventions throughout the ground floor arena space and atrium.
lightweight mezzanine structure and staircase.
expressed steel & glass twin lift shafts rising through the building.
